A GUIDE TO MOTORCYCLE HELMETS
THE MOTORCYCLE HELMET IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECES OF EQUIPMENT YOU WILL OWN.
WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED FOR EVERY ADVENTURE.
PROTECTION & COMFORT
EVERY HELMET IS MADE OF A SHELL, FOAM, AND PADDING. HERE’S WHAT MAKES OURS
~Rigid outer shell distributes the force of impact and resists penetration.
~ Comfort Padding, plus Retention System, helps keep the helmet in place and provides a cushion between outer shell and head.
~EPS Impact-Absorbing Liner crushes to absorb the energy of an impact. The amount of EPS lining depends on outer-shell material and overall shell size.
~Retention System for safety. Always fasten while riding.
SAFETY TIP: The shield helmet screws should be checked frequently by the customer to ensure they are secure. Wind vibration can cause the screws to loosen over time, therefore they should be checked and tightened on a regular basis.
WHEN TO REPLACE
EVEN IF A HELMET DOES NOT APPEAR DAMAGED, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY MOST MOTORCYCLE SAFETY FOUNDATIONS TO REPLACE YOUR HELMET AT LEAST EVERY 3-5 YEARS.
Interior protective elements, such as helmet liners and eps structures (impact-absorbing layer), deteriorate over time and lose effectiveness in safety, comfort, and fit. This is crucial to be aware of because you may not physically see this deterioration.
Helmets that show dents in the shell or fraying of the straps should be replaced immediately.
MOTORCYCLE HELMET STYLES
THE RIGHT HELMET DEPENDS ON YOUR RIDING STYLE AND WHAT KIND OF RIDING YOU DO. IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW YOUR LOCAL MOTORCYCLE HELMET LAWS.
